Deanndria Mujahid (Founder)
Deanndria brings 20+ years in the fitness industry as an instructor, studio owner and lover of movement to Shades Fitness.
She created this space to allow her love of teaching mindful movement to expand past the Pilates studio walls.

Clarissa Sheperd
Clarissa found Pilates in 2016 by chance. She got hired as a studio manager with her communications background, and got hooked from there.
Resides: Sterling, VA
Favorite Pilates Exercise: Rollover
Outside Pilates: Teaches interactive storytime to kids using her book, "Sage Does Pilates."

Kendall Butler
Born in New Orleans, Kendall's love for dance led her to a performing arts boarding school program in North Georgia. She was called to New York City at 16 for a summer intensive at Alvin Ailey and never left! An injury led her to her Pilates certification & working with adults one-on-one in a rehabilitation setting and also as a preschool teacher.
Resides: New York City
Outside Pilates: helping adults in a rehab setting and preschool teacher.

Melissa Thompson
Melissa started doing mat Pilates at home in high school, and did her first equipment session eight years later. After seeing its profound impact on her body, she became comprehensively certified.
Resides: Chicago (Forever & Ever!) & SoCal
